Regarding the novel coronavirus infection of a performer involved in the "World Cosplay Summit 2020 ONLINE" event


On 4 August 2020 (Tue), FORTUNE ENTERTAINMENT INC. announced that the results of novel coronavirus infection tests among their artists and employees had been positive.

Among the concerned persons was the member of "MATSURI NINE." Rikuto Kanda, who had appeared in the "World Cosplay Summit 2020 ONLINE Ceremony" held on 1 August (Sat). Afterwards, upon confirmation with the health care centre, it was determined that Mr. Rikuto Kanda had not been in close contact with other participants in the said ceremony.

It was confirmed that the four members of Fortune Entertainment who had accessed the premises of TV Aichi from which a 24-hour net program had been streamed on from 1 August (Sat) through 2 August (Sun) had been in close contact with the artist who had been tested positive.

Fortune Entertainment has reported that the result of the PCR test for one of these four persons has been positive. Also, the health care centre has confirmed that this person had not been in close contact with any other persons involved in this event.

Temperature checks were carried out at the entrance to the Nagoya City Civic Reception House which hosted the opening ceremony, as well as at TV Aichi from where the program was streamed, and entry was allowed only in case that there was no fever or symptoms of illness.

These measures were also applied to the members of Fortune Entertainment, but they did not show any fever or symptom of illness on the day of the event.
